Meanwhile, the local Administration is reportedly considering to withdraw mandatory Rapid Antigen Test for Islanders travelling to North and Middle Andaman as well as other far flung Islands because of deceasing COVID-19 cases.

Sources told Andaman sheekha that a proposal regarding the same has been sent to the competent authority and the final decision, in this regard, is awaited.

According to data available since January 01,2021 not a single person has been detected COVID-19 positive in Rapid Antigen Test being done at Ferrargunj Check Post for passengers travelling to North and Middle Andaman.
