BJP Delegation interacts with AC Diglipur with local issues

Port Blair, Jan 08: Mr. Ajoy Bairagi, State President, Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands was on an official visit to Diglipur in North and Middle Andaman from 2nd of January 2021 to 6th of January 2021. Mr. Ajoy Bairagi was accompanied by Mr. M Vinod, State Vice President, Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Smti. Fulmani Thomas, State Secretary, Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Mr. Uday Shankar Singh, State Media Convener, Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands during his visit.

 

On 6th of January 2021 the visiting delegation of Bharatiya Janata Party met the members of various associations and interacted with them to know their issues. The delegation interacted with members of the Auto Association, Commercial Vehicle Association etc. Under the leadership of Mr. Ajoy Bairagi the visiting delegation also visited various shops and met various merchants of the Diglipur area and asked them about their problems.

 

Since the delegation was on visit to Diglipur since 2nd of January there were a lot of issues which needed to be discussed with the local administration. The delegation called upon Mr. Ankit Yadav, IAS, Assistant Commissioner, Diglipur later in the afternoon. The delegation discussed all the problems of the people of Diglipur with the Assistant Commissioner. The prominent issues which were discussed was the fixed upper celling of Rs.500/- for purchase of diesel by an individual from the outlet at Diglipur, which was causing a lot of problems for the contractors, private vehicle owners, commercial vehicle owners and farmers who use tractors and power tillers. The Assistant Commissioner assured that the issue will be solved in a few days.

 

Further the issue of the need for all commercial vehicles to travel to Port Blair for renewal of their fitness was also raised before the Assistant Commissioner who assured that he will talk to the authorities and enable the renewal of fitness at Diglipur itself.

 

During the interaction with the Assistant Commissioner the senior leaders of Bharatiya Janata Party, Diglipur Unit were also present with the delegation.
