Port Blair, Jan 31: As part of National Immunization Day the Deputy Commissioner (SA) / Chairperson, District Health Society (SA) Mr. Suneel Anchipaka, IAS, administered Polio drops at PHC Garacharma. The pulse polio vaccination covers the age groups of 0-5 years’ children.
DC (SA) urged Paramedical staff, ASHA workers & Anganwadi workers engaged for the pulse polio drive to ensure 100 percent coverage of the target by follow up the left out cases by mop-up round on 1st & 2nd Feb. 2021.
The District Programme Manager, DHS(SA)-NHM also visited the different polio booths at Schools, PHCs, UHCs, Sub Centres, Anganwadi Centres, Bus Stand & other community level centres and took the stock of the drive to ensure smooth functioning of pulse polio vaccination.
DC(SA) also requested active participation of field level functionaries to make this event successful.
