Issuance of Sale/Gift permission by District Administration

Port Blair, Jan 07: Taking forward the digital India initiative of the Govt. of India, the District Administration, South Andaman, in its bid to improve the efficiency of the services rendered by the office has taken another quick jump in the matter of issuance of Sale/Gift permission.

This initiative of ease of doing business supported with digital technology will allow the tenants to get Sale/Gift permission digitally either at the comfort of their home or through CSCs.

The applicant needs to keep handy with the following documents:-

  1. A copy of passport size photographs of the tenant(s),
  2. No dues and non encumbrance certificate issued by respective Tehsildars, which is already available online.
  3. Prescribed Affidavit
  4. Copy of Power of attorney, if applicable alongwith recent life certificate of the tenants.

The applicants are expected to upload soft copy of the above documents in e-district portal to get desired sale/gift permission. All efforts have been made to reduce the number of steps dealing with the application for Sale/Gift permission in consonance with extant Rules so as to expedite the issuance of certificate. The said service is likely to be launched tomorrow after completion of codal formalities.

This citizen centric initiative would simplify the procedure and streamline the entire process. The District Administration urges the public to use the facility for their needs and in case of any complications/issues in this regard, may approach to the office for further clarifications.
