Port Blair, Feb 03: Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Member of Parliament, A&N Islands has requested the Secretary (Sports), A&N Administration for early posting of Sports Officer for North & Middle Andaman district as in absence of sports officer, no sports activities are conducted since last two years and the youths/talented sports persons are not getting opportunities for their regular practices to participate in the sports meets at various level (District/State/National).
Therefore, in order to involve the young talented youths in the sports/games activities during their spare time and to restrain them from involving unwanted antisocial activities, the MP urged the Administration for early posting of Sports Officer since no entertainment facilities are available for the youths in rural area rather than sports activities.
