Poor BSNL network in Diglipur, Ajoy Bairagi takes up issue with CGM BSNL

Port Blair, Jan 12: Mr. Ajoy Bairagi, State President, Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands met the Chief General Manager of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited yesterday and requested proper Mobile Network Coverage in various villages of Diglipur.

 

Mr. Ajoy Bairagi was on an official visit to Diglipur, North and Middle Andaman District from 2nd of January 2021 to 7th of January 2021 along with other State Office Bearers of Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands. During this official visit the visiting delegation visited almost all panchayats of Diglipur and the residents of various villages had raised the issue of bad network connectivity.

 

Mr. Ajoy Bairagi also submitted a letter to the Chief General Manager of BSNL, Andaman and Nicobar Islands. In his letter Mr. Ajoy Bairagi has mentioned that our Islands have been connected though the OFC but still many areas of Andaman and Nicobar Islands are still lacking proper internet connectivity. He further mentioned that currently the COVID-19 pandemic has forced the students studying in mainland universities to return back to their homes. He further added that various Universities have started online classes but because of lack of proper network coverage and slow internet the students are unable to attend online classes which is affecting their career prospects.

 

He requested the Chief General Manager of BSNL to look into the issue and do the needful for providing proper network coverage and high speed areas at Parangara, Ramnagar, Milangram, Swarajgram, Radhanagar, Shyamnagar, Paschimsagar, Gandhinagar, Shibpur, Durgapur and Kalipur.
