Port Blair, Nov 05: Akhil Bharathiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), Port Blair organised a City Conference on 3rd November, 2019 at VKV, Lambaline. Dr.Kandimuthu, National Executive Council, special invitee member and Vibhag Pramukh, inaugurated the conference by lightening the lamp.
Dr. Anjani Kumar Shrivastava, Vice-President, West Bengal Province, Mr. Gyaneshwar Ram Saha Vivhag Pramukh, Mr. Jaswant Lall sanjoyak, Dr Santosh Kumar Jha, State President ,Mr. Rajsekar, State Secretary, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, were present on the occasion. The conference highlighted various activities carried out by the ABVP for the development of students in these islands. Mr. Prashant Kr.Srivastava, spoke on the responsibility of students in national development. Education is a vital tool for the country’s prosperity, he opined. The students from JNRM, ANCOL, Andaman Law College, ANIIMS, St Marry SS School and Saraswati Sishu Mandir took part in large number and various committees have been constituted for the year 2019-2020. Dr.Uday Shankar Banerji has been elected as City President whereas Mr. Prashant Kr.Srivastava, Dr.K.Venkatesan, and Mr.Venkatesh Kumar Singh as Vice President. Mr. U Parthasharathi as city Secretary and Sushri Sabina Bano, Sushri Sonia, Sushri Pragati Sarkar Sri Sourav Kumar Singh, Sri Deepak as Joint Secretary. Dr Tejender Singh as Students For Seva incharge, Sushri Soni Munda as Rashtriya Kala Manch incharge, Sri Rishav Oroan as study circle in charge for the year 2019-2020. In addition to this ABVP city team also declare various campus units such as Sri P Bhuvaneswaran and Sri Devi Reddy Guru Venkateswarlu as President and Secretary respectively for JNRM .Sri Balasubramaniam and Sri Siddharth are President and Secretary for Andaman Law College respectively. During the conference various issues, problems pertaining to the development of Higher education like faculties, infrastructure, sanitation and hygiene etc. were discussed in detail. The conference also discusses about the affiliation issue of DBRAIT and establishment of Deemed University in these Islands.
