Port Blair, Oct 01:Mr. Ajoy Bairagi, State President, Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands has expressed gratitude to the Director of Transport and other authorities for accepting his request for allowing two passengers in Authorickshaws.
On 29th of September 2020 Mr. Ajoy Bairagi wrote a letter to the Director of Transport and other authorities asking them to at-least allow two passengers in the Autorickshaws operating in the Islands in the interest of the Autorickshaw drivers who are facing a lot of difficulties because of the one person rule.
On 30th September 2020 the Director of Transport ordered to allow maximum of two passengers in a Autorichshaw.
Mr. Ajoy Bairagi appeals to all Autorichshaw Drivers to ensure that the passengers boarding their vehicles are maintaining proper hand hygiene, they should also ensure that the passengers are wearing proper face cover and are maintaining social distancing.
