A&N Islands ABVP to organise 7th Students Conference

Port Blair, Feb 28: The ABVP A & N islands organised its 7th Students conference on 24th Feb at Vivekananda Kendra Port Blair. The students’ conference was inaugurated by the chief guest Smt. Anusuya Devi, Chairperson PBMC. The conference began with paying homage to the CRPF Martyrs of Pulwama on 14th Feb 2019. The PBMC Chairperson Smt. Anusuya Devi invited the gathering to put constructive efforts to make Port Blair a smart city.

The Chairperson elaborated the upcoming plans and projects of PBMC to make Port Blair a smart city under the Leadership of Prime minister Mr. Narendra Modi. She also thanks the Central Governments for their support and investment in Smart city projects of Port Blair.

The ABVP A&N Islands conference elected Dr. Santosh Kumar Jha as President, Mr. R Rajsekar as the Secretary & Mr. Vikas Lal Patil as treasurer of islands units for 2019-20. Dr K Chandradeep Singh Vice President ABVP A&N Islands elaborated the glorious history of the Islands in Indian freedom struggle, Dr. Singh on his address remembered the bravery and contribution of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and Azad Hind Fauj , Sardar Bhagat Singh, Sardar Patel in the Indian Independence struggle. Later on discussion on education scenario of Andaman & Nicobar Islands were placed during the conference. Dr. Kandimutu NEC special Invitee & Dr. Anjani Srivastav, Vice President, ABVP, West Bengal was present in the conference.

The conference was Coordinated by Mr. Jaswant Lall and Susri Neha. The ABVP A&N Islands has taken a resolution to motivate eligible students to enrol in voter list to ensure 100 % voting in the 2019 general election to strengthen our Democracy.
