Andaman Law College celebrates annual day : CS reiterates Administration’s commitment towards providing better teaching & learning support to students

Port Blair, April 30: The Andaman Law College celebrated its annual day here yesterday. The Chief Secretary, A&N Administration and Chairman, ANILES, Shri. Chetan B. Sanghi was the chief guest on the occasion. The Commissioner-cum-Secretary (Personnel & Law), Smt. Madhu K. Garg and the Principal JNRM, Dr. Francis Xavier were the guests of honour on the occasion.

 

While addressing the gathering, the Chief Secretary emphasized the need to create better infrastructural facilities for Andaman Law College by allotting land for construction of building and hostel facilities. He stated that the students graduating with B.A., LL.B. Degree will be assets not only to these Islands but also for the society at large. The Chief Secretary also reiterated the commitment of the Administration to provide better teaching and learning support to the students of Andaman Law College to excel, in comparison to students on the mainland.

 

The Commissioner-cum-Secretary (Personnel & Law), Smt. Madhu K. Garg distributed prizes to the winners of various cultural and sports events. Dr. Francis Xavier, Principal, JNRM remembered his long association with Andaman Law College.

 

Earlier, the Principal, Andaman Law College, Prof. Soundara Pandian welcomed the gathering and highlighted the achievements of the college since its inception. The students presented a colourful cultural event which was appreciated by the audience. The annual day function concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Dr. C. Sathish, Assistant Professor, Andaman Law College.
