Port Blair, Mar 24: The Andaman & Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee on Thursday organized Hath se Hath Jodo campaign in Hutbay, Little Andaman. The ANTCC President Mr. Rangalal Halder along with ANTCC Campaign Committee Chairman Mr. TSG Bhasker and several other leaders led the campaign.
During the outreach programme, the Congress leaders went door-to-door and highlighted issues of public concern such as inflation, corruption and unemployment. The message of Rahul Gandhi and the charge sheet of the failures of the Modi government were also delivered to every household. They also took stock of the ground sentiments.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Halder said the party’s ‘Hath se Hath Jodo’ yatra is aimed at mobilizing public support and appraising the people of the hatred which is spreading in our society nowadays.
“Islander youths are worried about losing their job opportunity, their incomes are falling further, and their dreams of a better future are shattering. There is a deep sense of hopelessness amongst the people, but the Congress Party will strongly resent the oppressive and wrong measures of BJP Govt at Centre and will make it accountable and answerable topeople”, said Mr. Halder.
Mr. Bhasker said the campaign has received an overwhelming response in the entire Islands. He said that there is an intense economic crisis brewing- joblessness among the youth, unbearable price rise and complete corporate capture of the country’s wealth. He urged upon the Party cadres to ensure the successful completion of Haath Se Haath Jodo Abhiyaan.
