Port Blair, May 01: Several programmes will be organized on the occasion of Rabindra Jayanti at Atul Smriti Samity (Bengali Club) on 09th May 2022. The Bengali Club will celebrate it on the 25th day of Baisakh month on Rabindra Nath Tagore’s birth anniversary.
According to the Club Secretary, a composite programme of dance drama – Shyama, Chitrangada and Chandalika will be presented under the title of “Teen Kanya”. The special show will be directed by Kakali Poddar. Besides, Rabindra Sangeet, recitation of Tagore’s poem, etc. will also be held.
A quiz competition on the life and works of the great poet Rabindra Nath Tagore will be organized by the Club for the age group of 7 to 16 years at 5:30 pm on 09th May 2022. Interested participants can forward their names to the contact no: 9748500398 by 08th May 2022.
