Port Blair, Sept 25: The Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands under the leadership of Mr. Ajoy Bairagi, State President, Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Island is organising a week long awareness programmes on various Govt. Schemes to celebrate Gandhi Jayanti – the birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi.
The overall In-charge for the week long awareness drive Mr. M Vinod, State Vice President, Bharatiya Janata Party in association with the karyakartas will be organising several awareness programmes throughout Andaman and Nicobar on Atmanirbhar Bharat, Vocal for Local and promotion of Khadi.
In this connection a programme was organised today at Junglighat Fish Landing Center and the Fishermen Community was made aware on Atmanirbar Bharat, Vocal for Local and Khadi was also promoted among the fishermen community.
The resource persons from various departments participated in the awareness programme held at Junglighat Fish Landing Center. The departments which participated in the awareness programmes were Fisheries Department, Agriculture Department, MSME, KVIB, Industries, Animal Husbandry and Lead Bank.
The resource person from the departments explained to the participating members of the fishermen community the benefits of various Govt. Schemes and how they can utilise it to create an Atmanirbhar Bharat.
Mr. Ajoy Bairagi appealed to the members of the Fishermen Community to take advantage of the various Govt. Schemes and to promote the dream of an Atmanirbahar Bharat as conceptualised by our the Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi.
Further he appealed to all the members of the fishermen community to approach the BJP office in case they have any issues in taking advantage of any of the schemes.
