Port Blair, Feb 19: On 17th Feb., 2019 at India International Centre, New Delhi Bharat Nirman Foundation Delhi honoured to Dr. Poonam Arora with “Women entrepreneur of the Year Award” for her dedication in hospitality Industry and her contribution in Skill Development of women in remote areas. As a Chairperson of A&N State Social Welfare Board Dr. Poonam Arora has been visiting all the Islands of North, Middle & South Andaman creating awareness and organizing various Skill development programmes. She has also done many Financial inclusion programmes for school dropouts, homemakers and SHG. She says women can be empowered with an extra skill to earn their livelihood and financial security is the biggest support to women. Thus secure, independent women will help is create New Andaman, in a communication received from Secretary, A&N state Social Welfare.
