Port Blair, Oct 01: Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Island, State Unit has been organising awareness programmes on Atmanirbhar Bharat, Vocal for Local and are also promoting Khadi as a part of week long programme from 25th of September 2020 to 2nd of October 2020 under the leadership of Mr. Ajoy Bairagi, State President, Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
In this connection the Incharge of the programme Mr. M Vinod, State Vice President, Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands along with the Co-Incharge of the Programme Smt. Sunita Sharma and other karyakartas of the Bharatiya Janata Party have been organising several awareness programmes throughout Andaman and Nicobar Islands from Diglipur to Campbell Bay.
Today an awareness programme was conducted in Dollygunj, Port Blair in which several local residents participated. The programme was utilised to raise awareness among the residents about various schemes of the Govt. of India which they can take the benefit of, to start or expand their venture. Further awareness was also raised regarding supporting local businesses and products. Khadi was also promoted during the event.
Several departments of Govt. of India and UT Administration also participated in the event as resource persons. Resource persons from Industries, Fisheries, MSME & Lead Bank briefed the gathering at the Dollygunj Awareness Programme.
Mr. Ajoy Bairagi, State President, BJP, A & N Islands, Mr. Vishal Jolly, Former State President, BJP, A & N Islands, Mr. K Ram Das, State General Secretary, BJP, A & N Islands, Mr. Dharmendra Narayan, Ex-Councillor, PBMC Ward No. 17, Smti. Usha Karunanidhi, Ex-Councillor, PBMC Ward No. 16 and the Mondal President and the office bearers of the Dollygunj Mondal also graced the function.
