Port Blair, Aug 16: Tributes were paid to Bharat Ratan Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Former Prime Minister of India and a great leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party at Dr. Shayama Prasad Mukherjee Bhavan, Middle Point Port Blair by State BJP Unit Leaders today on his 2nd death Anniversary.
Mr. Prakash Adhikari, Vice President, Bharatiya Janata Party led the State BJP Leaders in Paying tributes to the great leader. Mr.N.K Udhaya Kumar, Chairperson PBMC and President of Yuva Morcha, BJP, A & N Islands, Mr. Selva Kumar, Political Secretary to Mr. Ajoy Bairagi, President, BJP, A & N Islands, Mr. Anshuman Roy, Vice President, Yuva Morcha, BJP, A & N Islands, Mr. Anand, General Secretary, Yuva Morcha, BJP, A & N Islands along with other leaders of the Party were present on the occasion. Bharat Ratan Swargiya Atal Bihari Vajpayee was a true patriot and a strong supporter of the Indian Culture.
He was a true statesman and a very good organiser, he was the founding member of the Bharatiya Janata Party and played a key role in expansion of the party and under his leadership crores of Karyakartas joined the party. As the Prime Minister of India, Bharat Ratan Swargiya Atal Bihari Vajpayee brought the concept of Good Governance in the Prime Ministers Office.
Sarva Siksha Abhiyan, PM Gram Sadak Yojna, Development of National Highways were all introduced and taken up during his tenure which led India towards the progressive era. The Nuclear Tests in Pokran and India’s win against Pakistan in the Kargil War was also conducted and fought under the leadership of the Great Leader Bharat Ratan Swargiya Atal Bihari Vajpayee, which laid the foundation of a strong India on the world stage.
