Port Blair, Jan 12: During the ongoing 31st Road Safety Week 2020 from 11th to 17th, 2020, a “Blood Donation Camp” was orgainsed by A&N Traffic Police on 11/01/2020 at PS Aberdeen Conference Hall. A & N Traffic Police Personnel, G.B Pant Staffs & general public donated blood for the noble cause towards the humanity.
Moreover, a meeting was conducted with Auto Drivers/Commercial vehicle drivers/Bus drivers and conductors under the chairmanship of Shri. Arjun Prasad, Inspector (Traffic). Drivers were advised to behave courteously with passengers and to obey traffic rules. Further, auto drivers were strictly advised to charge passengers as per the fare meter. They were also made aware of the new Motor Vehicle Amendment Act, 2019. More than 120 drivers/owners have participated in the meeting.
