Port Blair, June 18: Lieutenant General Ajai Singh, AVSM, Commander-in-Chief, Andaman and Nicobar Command (CINCAN) addressed personnel of ANC during “Special Sainik Sammelan”on 17 June 2021.
The CINCAN complimented all ranks of Andaman and Nicobar Command for maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and operational preparedness. He exhorted upon the importance of “NAAM-NAMAK-NISHAN”for a soldier and advised that the trust and faith bestowed upon the Indian Armed Forces as guardians of the Nation should always be valued. The General Officer emphasized upon the importance of the changing dynamics of warfare and the role of the Defence Services in shaping the future of our Nation. CINCAN further reiterated that soldiers, being the building blocks of the Nation, should always strive for professional excellence and be battle ready at all times.
The CINCAN advised all personnel to continue maintaining strict Covid-19 protection measures.
