Port Blair, July 28: The vehicle ferry vessel MV Karmatang presently maintaining the scheduled services between Chatham – Bambooflat has developed sudden technical snag yesterday, following which her services have been withdrawn from the above route. Due to the above withdrawal, there will be restricted vehicle ferry services between Chatham and Bambooflat, until the services of MV Karmatang is restored.
The Directorate of Shipping Services is making all efforts to operationalize the broke down vehicle ferry vessels MV Karmatang on utmost priority. However, in view of the above-restricted services of vehicle ferry vessels, the daily commuters of Bambooflat have been requested to cooperate and plan their journey suitably, so as to avoid inconvenience and difficulty.
