Port Blair, Nov 07: Acting upon a written complaint received from the Principal GSSS, Mohanpura regarding an open RCC drain which is very close to the school building and during heavy rainfall and high tides the school campus gets filled by water which is very un-hygienic. Shri.N.K.Udhaya Kumar , Chairperson Port Blair Municipal alongwith Smti.E.Rani, Ward Councillor Ward No-04 and officials of the Engineering wing inspected the school premises the principal briefed about the issue. After a persistent hearing the Civic Chief directed the concerned officials to take immediate steps to sort out the problem and assured that he will take up the matter with the concerned authority to short out the issue as early as possible.
