Port Blair, Nov 27: Telecom Regulatory Authority of India, TRAI organized a Consumer Awareness Program in association with Living on The Edge – LOTE, on 26/11/2022 at ” VEENA” Wimberlygunj. Representatives from the major Telecom operators of the Union Territory attended it.
Mr. G. Pannerselvam, AGM (S&M) , BSNL, Mr. K. Novel Kishore, SDE(MIS), BSNL, Mr. Simanta Banerjee, RJIL, Mr. Anup Singh , RJIL, Mr. P L Pichaiah, Airtel, represented their respective organizations.
Mr. O. Bashir, State Vice President, ANDC, Mr. P. Abdul Basheer, Pradhan, Kanyapuram, Mr. K. Venkat Ram Babu, Pradhan, Wimberlygunj and many PRI members along with the Consumer attended the program and benefited.
Mr. Abhay Kumar, President, LOTE, spoke on the TRAI functions and its benefits for the consumers and also spoke on the radiation factor and upcoming 5G services.
An interactive session on telecom services was also held in which scope of improvement for better signal specially in Shoal Bay -19 was highlighted. Consumers were advised to judiciously use the various provisions to avoid fraud by miscreants.
