Port Blair, Aug 23: Port Blair Municipal Council in it’s continued efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19 pandemic has collected waste including bio-waste across the Municipal area covering Circuit House, South Point and Circuit House, Haddo, Hornbill Nest, N.K Grand Hotel, etc. and transported to the incinerator of GB Pant Hospital for final disposal while taking all precautions as per the guidelines by deploying its dedicated team. The Sanitization process covered the containment zones of Dairy farm, Aberdeen Bazaar besides Quarantine Homes, market areas were also duly sanitized. Collection of garbage with specific focus on containment zones was done.
PBMC appeals to general public to adhere the guidelines issued by the A&N Administration in true spirit and support to fight against pandemic.
