Port Blair, Jun 29: A missing report of Ram Dayal Singh (22 yrs),s/o Mr. Lalit Singh, R/o KitcherNallah, Rutland was reported at Police Station Humfrigunj on 27th June 2022.
It was reported that he accidentally fell into the sea while he was returning to his house along with his brother from Manjery jetty through an engine dinghy.
Immediately, the police team of Humfrigunj swung into action and a team consisting of HC Bijoy Sarkar, HC Abdul Kalam, PC Aurangzeb Ahmed, PC Nitesh Baidya and PC Ashraf headed by SHO PS Humfrigunj SI Anik Das with the assistance of PMF divers carried out day and night search operation.
Due to dedicative efforts, the dead body of the deceased was recovered on 29th June 2022 at about 01:00 pm from the rocks of Jolly Buoy Island at the stage of decomposition.
Later, a UDFIR was registered at PS Humfrigunj and shifted the dead body to GB Pant Hospital for PME. The villagers of Rutland lauded the sincere efforts shown by the staff of police station Humfrigunj for their immensely dedicative service.
