Port Blair, Dec 16: The Great Grand Job Mela as announced earlier to be organised by the District Administration in coordination with the Andaman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) is going to be held on 26th and 27th Dec. 2020 at the Island Tourism Festival Ground from 0900 hrs to 1600 hrs.
Around 900 vacancies in different categories and sectors are being likely to be filled up in the Mela. 08 firms/companies involved in various sectors like construction, pharmacy, and textile business have come forward to offer jobs in different fields in their companies. The companies involved in the Job Mela are RDS Projects, CSE Construction (India) Pvt. Ltd, Federation of Automobile Dealers Association (FADA) Andaman Chapter, O.P. Kandoi & Co. (P) Ltd., Kakolil Trade Agencies, Builders Association of India, A&N Chemist & Druggist Assn. and A&N Cloth Merchants Assn.
This Mela would provide an opportunity for the skilled/unskilled and educated unemployed youths in these islands to earn a livelihood. The District Administration requests/invites the local youth to come forward and avail the opportunities being offered to them in the said Mela.
Based on the information given before, District Administration Office has received few applications for the Job Mela. More are expected in the coming days and District Administration appeals everyone to participate in the Job Mela following all COVID-19 protocols.
