Port Blair, July 27: Dr Ajoy Kumar, former Member of Parliament and Observer, All India Congress Committee (AICC) arrived here on Tuesday on a three-days visit to the islands. On arrival at the Veer Savarkar Airport, Port Blair, he was accorded a rousing welcome by Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Member of Parliament and PCC President. Senior Congress leaders and Congress workers PCC State congress unit, Senior State Office bearers, AICC, Block Congress committee, city congress committee, Pradesh Mahila Congress committee, Pradesh youth congress committee, Pradesh city congress committee, Pradesh District congress committee, NSUI committee & supporters.
Hundreds of Congress leaders and workers were present at the airport to receive the AICC Observer. Immediately, after arrival at the Port Blair airport, he proceeded to Gandhi Bhawan to Govt. Circuit House where he interacted with the senior State Congress leaders and party workers on individual basis.
On 28th July 2021, Dr. Ajoy Kumar will be meeting with Congress Block Committee members of different blocks across the islands. During his 3-days visit to the islands, Dr. Ajay Kumar will also be assessing the organizational activities of the State Congress unit.
