Port Blair, Sept 05: The students and staff of Government Senior Secondary School Rangat as small effort towards humanity contributed a sum of Rs. 94,300/- towards the treatment of their student Ankita Tirkey D/o Rajesh Tirkey R/o Rampur studying in Class XII. Presently, she has been hospitalized in Intensive Care Unit for Systemic lupus nephritis, CNS, manifestation of SLE in form of seizure and severe thrombocytopenia with associated Sepsis treatment in MIOT, Chennai. Her clinical condition warrants life saving drugs and medicine.
The approximate cost estimate for her treatment would be around Rs.7,00,000/- and being poor family background it is behind their scope. The fact is that the students enthusiastically participated in door to door collection from neighbouring villages.
