Port Blair, Jun 01: A residential house was partially gutted in a fire incident that broke out in Santanu village, under Kadamtala Tehsil on the afternoon of 01st June 2022.
As per details, the residential house was made up of Tin sheets and Chattai which caught fire at around 12.15 pm. Sources said that the area had mobile network issues due to which the fire department couldn’t be informed in time and villagers of the nearby area initially tried to control the fire.
Later the fire control room was called and the information was given to Fire Station Kadamtala. As soon as the information was delivered, the firefighting team reached the spot and controlled the fire. By the time they reached, the house was partially burned. No one was injured in the incident.
As per the information, approximately One lakh rupee worth of household materials were burnt by the fire.
