Port Blair, Jan 13: During the ongoing 31st Road Safety Week, 2020 from 11th to 17th, 2020, “First Responder Training & Raoad Safety Awareness Class” was organised by A&N Traffic Police on 13/01/2020. Dr. Avijith Roy, G.B Pant Hospital educated A & NI Traffic Personnel, General Public & Auto/Truck/Van/Bus drivers about first aid techniques and procedure of performing CPR to the victims of Road Accidents/Venomous Bites/Drowning/Fire/Electric Shock. More than 100 participants have benefitted from the training.
Moreover, lectures were also delivered at various schools/colleges by Inspr. Arjun Prasad at ANCOL, Inspr. N. Zainuddin at Govt. Girls Sr. Sec. School and SI Shiva Kumar at Carmel Sr. Sec. School. Almost 350 students benefitted from these lectures
Moreover, a free eye test camp will be organised by A & NI Traffic Police on 14/01/2020 from 0930 to 1200 hrs at PS Aberdeen Conference Hall. General public is advised to participate in the camp and avail the facilities of special ophthalmologist from G.B Pant Hospital, Rohin’s Eye Hospital and Agarwal Eye Hospital.
