Port Blair, Apr 29: An endeavour to keep the village and governmental assets clean, the Gram PanchayatRamnagar initiated a “Shramdhaan” campaign on 29th April 2022.
In its first phase, the GP Ramnagar in collaboration with the Parents-Teacher Association organized a jungle clearance programme at Govt. Sec. School Ramnagar, in which the surrounding area of the school building and quarters were cleaned by removing shrubs and small trees.
Mr. Mitun Das, Pradhan, GP Ramnagar said that the panchayat initiated the cleaning programme with such Shramdhaanto keep the govt. asset in good condition as well as for the beautification of the village.
As the first task was completed with the help of parents, he appealed to the parents to take time for educating their wards about moral-ethical values and personal hygiene.
In the end, a vote of thanks for the Shramdhaan was conveyed by Mr. Bimal Mistry the in-charge of the School on behalf of the education department.
