Port Blair, May 08: The Eid Milan programme was organized by Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, A&N Islands on 6th May 2022 at the Community Hall of Gram Panchayat Wimberlygunj.
The programme started with the recitation of the verses of the Holy Quran by Master Junaid. Mr. M K Mohammed, President, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind, A&N Islands welcomed the gathering.
Around 300 people from various faiths attended the programme. The message of Ramzan and Eid-ul-Fitr was delivered by Mr. N Abdul Salam Nadvi.
The community leaders present on the occasion praised the efforts of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind to preserve peace and harmony among the people of the A&N Islands. Mr. Narayan Guruji, Founder of Sri Narayan Ashram; Pandit Vinod Dubey, Radha Krishna Temple, Wimberlygunj and Mr. Christopher, Pastor, Tamil Methodist Church addressed the gathering.
Mr. T Abdul Salam Falahi proposed a vote of thanks to the gathering and other invitees. The programme concluded with a community feast.
