Launch of Nishtha Training Programme in Mayabunder Zone

Port Blair, Sept 22: The second phase of NISHTHA (National Initiative for School Heads and Holistic Advancement) and Intigrated Teachers Training Programme of MHRD and NCERT under Prime Ministers 100 days programme  organized by the State institute of Education, Port Blair in collaboration with Samagra Shiksha was launched in Mayabunder Zone on 21st Sept.2019 in Community Hall, Pokkadera, Mayabunder.

The five days training programme was inaugurated by the Deputy Education Officer Shri Gyansheel Dubey in the presence of Shri G.K Rai, Vice Principal, GMSSS, Mayabunder and Shri Umashankar Singh, State Coordinator, Sri Aurobindo Society by lightining of traditional lamp. The Key Resource Person Smti Bindu Suresh gave a brief description of NISHTHA.

The Chief Guest Shri Gyansheel Dubey in his address said that the training NISHTHA will equip the teachers with skills and methods to improve the academic performance of studetns as well to bring about an overall social, physical development in them along with imbibing the good morals.

Around 75 teachers are participating in the capacity building programme which aims at building compitencies among  teachers and school heads elementary stage.

The inaugural session came to an end with vote of thanks proposed by Shri R.Gopalan, Key Resource Person.
