Port Blair, Jun 09:A mass awareness cum interaction programme with senior citizens of Guptapara and Manjery was organized on 09th June 2022 at the Community Hall, Guptapara by Police Station Humfrigunj.
In the programme, all the senior citizens were briefed about their rights and assured to provide complete protection by the police. Apart from that, they were also urged to feel safe in society. Some of their minor problems were heard and resolved on the spot by collaborating with the concerned gram panchayat.
Further, they were briefed about trending cyber-crime and requested not to respond in any alluring call/messages. The main spokesperson for the programme was Mr. Saurabh Chandra, SDPO Bambooflat; Mr. Anik Das, SHO PS Humfrigunj; Mr. Durlav Das, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat Guptapara and Mr. Adhir Das, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat Wandoor.
The programme achieved a huge response in the village and altogether 52 senior citizens of the area participated in the programme.
