Member of Parliament urges Administration to take preventive measures against Dengue

Port Blair, June 09: The Member of Parliament of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Chief Secretary of Andaman and Nicobar Administration to issue necessary directions to the Health Department and Port Blair Municipal Council to step up anti-dengue drives by forming quick action teams and also spread massive awareness among the public against Dengue.


In a letter addressed to the Chief Secretary the Member of Parliament pointed out that there is a spike in Dengue cases in the South Andaman region.
 
He added that dengue is preventable by avoiding mosquito bites and hence there is a need to spread awareness among masses to take necessary precaution against this mosquito-borne viral disease.
Hence he requested the Chief Secretary to issue necessary directions to the Health Department and Port Blair Municipal Council to step up anti-dengue drive.
