Port Blair, Jan 10: As part of the Army Day Celebrations, the Army Component under the aegis of HQ Andaman and Nicobar Command (HQ ANC) conducted a “Military Equipment and Band Display” for the public at Netaji Stadium today. The event showcased Indian Army’s weapons, combat vehicles and equipment with an aim to kindle the pride and patriotic fervor amongst the youth and to motivate them to join the noble profession of arms. The audience was kept enthralled by the live performances by the military band which played traditional martial tunes and enthralled the crowd with its majestic display. The event achieved its aim of ‘Empowerment through Awareness’ wherein large number of school and college students, government dignitaries and local population enthusiastically witnessed the event.
