MoS for Ports, Shipping and Waterways and Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilisers interacts with BJP Workers

 

 

Port Blair, Mar 28: Mr. Mansukh L Mandaviya, Union Minister of State for Ports, Shipping and Waterways and Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilisers, Govt. of India is on a three day visit to Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Mr. Mansukh L Mandaviya visited Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Bhavan, Middle Point, Port Blair and interacted with the BJP workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
He was warmly welcomed by the BJP workers at BJP HQ, Port Blair. Mr. Ajoy Bairagi, State President, Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and other senior BJP leaders was present on the occasion along with other BJP workers of the party.
The BJP workers of Bharatiya Janata Party interacted with the Minister and several demands and suggestions were presented before him. Some of the demands and suggestions include 1. Need of more ships for serving the residents of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. 2. Employment Generation through Shipping Sector. 3. In House manning for foreshore sector. 4. Stopping the scrapping process of A & N Administration owned ships. 5. Induction of new ships which were ordered to be constructed by A & N Administration and later on it was decided to handover them to Navy. 6. More Cargo Vessels of Govt. to be deployed for service to Islanders. 7. Berthing of Passenger Vessels at Katchal Island. 8. Strengthening of Dr. B. R Ambedkar Institute of Technology to conduct all Maritime Courses. 9. Construction of Jetty Near Manjery Sun Set Point for Tourist Purpose. 10.Frequency of Sailing of Inter-Island Ships to be improved.
The Minister gave a patient hearing to all the demands and assured that most of the demands raised by the BJP workers of the BJP will be fulfilled. The Minister also addressed the BJP workers on the occasion and encouraged them to work for the benefit of the general public.
