Port Blair, June 16: The Member of Parliament, Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma today felicitated the anganwadi workers of Ward No-1. Organized by Mr. Shahul Hamid, the Member of Parliament also distributed free ration kits to the anganwadi and lauded their contribution towards the citizens during the pandemic. Anganwadi workers also presented mementos to the Member of Parliament for taking up their salary issues in the Parliament. It is only after Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma raised the matter in the Parliament, salaries of anganwadi workers were released by the government. Mr. K Ganeshan Ex chairperson PBMC and Smti Pushpajali Raj Ex- Sr.Vice chairperson PBMC other senior congress leaders were also present on the occasion. The MP appreciated anganwadi workers for their role in combating Covid-19 at grass root and providing their services to the citizens.
