Port Blair, Apr 04: Mr Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Member of Parliament, A&N Islands has requested the Chief General Manager, A&N Telecom Circle, BSNL, Port Blair to start functioning of BSNL Mobile tower at Ongi Tikrey, Hut Bay after installing required instruments to facilitate the residents of the area for getting connectivity at the earliest. He said that five years ago, one BSNL tower was erected at Ongey Tikrey to provide connectivity for the inhabitatns of tsunami Shelters of Ongi Tikrey. But the required instruments are not installed on the tower so far and due to which, the residents of Ongi Tikrey are facing hardships to get connectivity through other BSNL towers which are distantly away from their residential area. This is causing great hardships for the residents and students for their online class, online examinations and other e-services, he said.
