MP requests APWD to solve water distribution issues of Sippighat Area

Port Blair, Mar 21: Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Member of Parliament, A&N Islands has informed the Secretary (APWD), A&N Administration that the residents of Sippighat area in South Andaman district are not getting sufficient drinking water through the existing pipe lines due to increase of water tap connections in view of expand of population in the area.
Owing to which the villagers are facing water crisis since no alternative water resources are available for them in the area.
Therefore, he requested the APWD authority to make necessary arrangements for laying, repairing and replacement of water pipe lines wherever required in Sippighat area for supply of drinking water to the villagers.
