MP requests CS for taking remedial measures on various issues of Nilambur Gram Panchayat

Port Blair, Jan.10: Shri KuldeepRai Sharma, Member of Parliament has requested the Chief Secretary, Andaman and Nicobar Administration to kindly issue remedial measures on the following issues raised by Pradhan, NIlambur Gram Panchayat, Baratang for overall development of the area in accordance with the law/rules.

The Member of Parliament has mentioned of the issues raised by the Pradhan are: resurvey and resettlement of Baratang, declaration of “Khatta Khari” village as notified revenue village,regularisation of encroachment,  allotment of land for graveyard for all community at Krishna Nagar, Baratang,re-opening of Tiger quarry, handover of revenue land occupied by forest department to revenue department, allotment of Play ground for Govt. Sr. Secondary school, Oralkatcha, early opening and functioning of Petrol Diesel outlet at Baratang as per commitment, installation of 02 Nos. 750 KVA Deisel gen set for power house at Baratang, posting of regular Principal for Govt. Sr. Secondary School,Oralkatha and Head Master for Govt. Middle School Jarwa Creek, providing treated/filter safe drinking water to all resident of Baratang Islands, dismantling of old forest labour barrack and allotment of land in favour of PRI for construction of community hall,allotment of land for Panchayat market, allotment of land for development of park,providing pickup van for sanitation work, providing new buses for local and express route uptoNimbuder and Diglipur from Baratang, early completion of rural road works by APWD at Baratang Island and poor condition of National Highway at Baratang stretch.

Member of Parliament has also requested the Chief Secretary to kindly resolve the issues raised by the Pradhan, Nilabur Gram Panchayat at the earliest possible please.
