Port Blair, July 23: Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Member of Parliament, A&N Islands has taken up the matter with the Commissioner-cum-Secretary (APWD), A&N Administration for early repair and renovation of rural road in Ferrargunj Tehsil namely (i) Rural road from Ferrargunj to Bambooflat via Wimberlygunj (ii) Rural road from Kadakachang to Bambooflat via Andabeda (iii) Rural road from Saithan Khari to Ograbranj junction (iv) Road from Wmberly gunj to Shoal Bay (State Highway).
He said that the condition of these roads are in deplorable with big pothole and fully damaged and as a result of which the general public specifically the oldage, children, patients including the drivers of the vehicles who carry passengers are facing lot of hardship as these roads are only the main connectivity for the movement of people for attending their daily routine works. Therefore, the MP requested the Commissioner-cum-Secretary (APWD) to look into the matter to get repair of all these roads at the earliest since the villagers are facing great hardship during journey in these routes due to worst condition of roads.
