Port Blair, Aug 22: The vehicle ferry vessel MV Pillobhabi presently maintaining the scheduled services between Chatham – Bambooflat, developed with a sudden technical snag in her main engine on 22nd August 2019, following which her services has been withdrawn from the above route. Due to the above withdrawal, there will be restricted vehicle ferry services between Chatham and Bambooflat, till the services of the vessel MV Pillobhabi is restored.
The Directorate is making all efforts to operationalize the broke down vehicle ferry vessels on utmost priority, however in view of above restricted services of vehicle ferry vessels, the daily commuters of Bambooflat are requested to cooperate and plan their journey suitably, so as to avoid inconvenience and difficulty . The inconvenience caused to passenger in this regard is regretted.
