Port Blair, Dec 23: Working towards its commitment to make the A & N Islands drug-free, N & MA District Police are conducting regular raids. Based on an intelligence,regarding cultivation of Cannabis plants. A police team headed by SI BasudevBaroi, I/c OP Rest Camp, PC/1428 Abdul Safique, PC/2614 Hemant Rao and PC/2732 Seema Tirkey conducted raids on 21/12/2022 and recovered 02 Nos. Cannabis plants from possession of Rohit Kumar Bairagi R/o Tugapur-8. The accused was arrested and a case was registered under relevant sections of NDPS Act at PS Mayabunder.
The entire trap was conducted under the supervision of Mr.Lakshya Pandey, DANIPS, SDPO, Diglipur and overall supervision of the undersigned.
