Port Blair, Mar 09: The Nicobar District Police celebrated the occasion of International Women’s Day in a befitting manner at the residence of SP District, Nicobar along with the lady Police personnel posted in Car Nicobar. Smti. Jyoti Khatana wife of SP/Nicobar graced the occasion with welcome speech and stressed on the International Women’s Day 2020. Campaign theme i.e. # Each for equal _ An equal world is an enabled world. The women staff posted at Nicobar District were felicitated for their sincere efforts. International Women’s Day, though symbolic, once again reiterated the feeling of uniqueness and importance of the other gender.
All the staff participated in various events with great enthusiasm and vigour. Three lady police personnel ASI Diana, PC/Jayshree Haldar and PC/Ramita Singh were given commendation certificates for their selfless and dedicated services during their tenure at Car Nicobar, followed by refreshment to all.
