N&M Andaman District Police confiscate 2 kg Ganja in Diglipur

Port Blair, Aug 29: Working towards its commitment to making the A&N Islands drug-free, N&M District Police is conducting regular raids. Based on an intelligence input Nirodh Biswas, a known dealer of ganja in Diglipur was apprehended red-handed with some quantity of ganja while he was selling it to a person. On detailed interrogation, a total of 2.1 Kg ganja was recovered from his hidden storehouse. A case has been registered under NDPS Act at PS Diglipur.

            The entire trip was conducted under the supervision of Mr. Manasvi Vashistha, DANIPS, SDPO/Diglipur, and the overall direction and supervision of Mrs. Geetanjali Khandelwal, IPS, Superintendent of Police, N&M Andaman District.

            The general public is requested to pass and share any credible information pertaining to any crime or illegal activities to their nearest police station or on phone No.100, 112 and 03192-273344. The identity of the informers will be kept secret and will also be suitably rewarded.
