Port Blair, Jan 08: On 06th January, 2020, the State Unit of Bharatiya Janata Party, A & N Islands also in lines with the Leadership of the Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi, the Home Minister Mr. Amit Shah and National Working President of BJP, Mr. Jagat Prakash Nadda, launched its “Jan Jagaran” (Public awareness programme) on the issue of Citizenship Amendment Act, 2019. The programme is an awareness campaign which has been organized in order to make the general public aware about the amendment which has taken place by way of the said Act of the Parliament. The party has urged the general public not to get mislead by anti-social elements and outfits who are trying to mislead the people about the amendment.
The State Unit of BJP, under the guidance and leadership of the State President Mr. Vishal Jolly started the awareness programme in a grand manner all over the A & N Islands. Several public meetings have already been organized at various places within Port Blair, South Andaman and North & Middle Andaman. Loudspeaker announcements are also being made throughout the Islands.
The Jan Jagaran programme will continue for few more coming days and the same would cover all areas on grass-root level throughout these Islands.
The State unit of BJP has also published booklets in a large scale in several languages which are being distributed to the general public by the BJP workers.
All prominent speakers of State, District as well as Mandal level led by the State President Mr. Vishal Jolly is participating in the Jan Jan Jagaran programme by highlighting all aspects of Citizenship Amendment Act, 2019.
