Nabagram, Aug 28: A dilapidated bus stand near APWD office at ward No 3 under Gram Panchayat Nabagram, Diglipur is crying for urgent attention of authorities.
This remote bus stand in Diglipur is utilized mostly by the school children and elderly people, who now demands immediate repair of it, which was not done after construction.
Meanwhile, the Pradhan of the area wrote a letter to the authorities that the work has duly recommended and passed in the standing committee meeting held on 23 Aug 2017.
As per report, after inspection the JE concerned noted that “Inspected the site and found that the proposed work is in dilapidated condition.”
Instead of this report the said bus stand was neither dismantled nor repaired till now inviting any disaster in waiting since one year. The local administration should initiate some action before the bus stand collapse on some school student or public, who take shelter under this structure during heavy rain.
