Port Blair, Sept 30: The Port Blair Municipal Council bid farewell to five employees of the Council, who superannuated from government service. At a simple function Smti.U. Kavitha Chairperson, PBMC handed over all the retirement benefits including GPF, gratuity and other monetary benefits to the retiring employees. In her address, Chairperson, Port Blair Municipal Council recalled the valuable services rendered by them to the Council and wished them happy and healthy post retired life. Mementoes were also presented to the employees. Senior Vice Chairperson Mr. Aziz-Ur-Rahman and section in charges / officials of the section concerned were also present during the function. The employees who retired are viz. Mr. A. Sohan, HVD SP Gr-I Mechanic, Mr. G. Someshwar Rao, Lineman, Mr. Rudra Bahadur, Watchman, Smti. Kondamma, Sanitary Mazdoor &Mr. Mahaveer, Sr. Sanitary Supervisor. Officials/ staffs and elected representatives of the Council were also present on the occasion
