South Andaman Police Seizes Large Haul of IMFL Bottles and Effects one Arrest

Port Blair, Sept 18: With the thesis to eradicate the menace of illegal activities from these Islands, South Andaman District Special Police Squad has taken prompt action against the illegal sale of liquor and arrested one person in excise raid conducted on 16th September, 2020 and seized 30 bottles of IMFL.

 

On the tip off, the District Special Police Squad comprising ASI Surya Narayan along with PC/2636 M. Santosh Kumar & PC/2885 Bipul Halder conducted raid at Aberdeen area. During the raid, 30 bottles of IMFL were recovered from the possession of one person namely N. Kannan S/o Shri M. Naganathan, 31 yrs, Pvt. Worker, R/o Dairy Farm and after observing all codal formalities, accused was arrested and a Excise case was registered at PS Aberdeen.

 

The entire raid took place under the supervision of Shri. Narra Chaitanya, IPS, SDPO South Andaman and under the overall direction and supervision of Shri. Manoj C., IPS, Superintendent of Police, South Andaman District. The general public is requested to share information pertaining to any crime or other illegal activities to police at 100, 112, & 03192-233077. The identity of the informant will be kept secret.
