South Andaman Police Successfully Traces out Missing Minor within 12 Hours

Port Blair, Sept 18: On 16/09/2020, a missing complaint of a minor boy from Garacharma area was received at PS Pahargaon, who left home on 14/09/2020 after being scolded by his mother over a petty issue. Upon receipt of the complaint, three teams were immediately constituted for search of the minor boy. Tireless & sincere efforts were made by the team with the help of sources, human intelligence and CCTV footage of various locations. The team searched Wandoor area with the assistance of PS Humfrygunj and successfully located the minor boy. Minor boy was given counseling and after proper medical checkups he was handed over to his parents. With the joint effort of PS Pahargaon, PS Humfrygunj and CID Unit, missing boy was traced out in a short span of time. The efforts made by HC/983 A. Raja, Constables PC/2105 M. Ashok Kumar, PC/355 Rajesh Prasad, PC/1483 Sheetal Das and PC/2647 Aurangzeb of PS Pahargaon and PS Humfrygunj were commendable.

 

The entire operation conducted under the supervision of Mr. Narra Chaitanya, IPS, SDPO (SA) and overall supervision and direction of Mr. Manoj C., IPS, Superintendent of Police, South Andaman District.
