Port Blair, July 14: On 13/07/2021, at about 1400 hrs, a special jungle and creek search has been conducted at Hasmatabad seashore by the police personnel of PS Humfrygunj comprising with SI Anik Das, SHO PS Humfrygunj alongwith HC/2336 Bijoy Sarkar, HC/762 Abdul Basir, PC/2449 Florence Barla, PC/1571 Ignacius Kujur, PC/1102 Sankar Aind, PC/2647 Auragnzeb Ahmed and HC/827 Pratap Tigga (PMF).
During the search, a total of approx 1050 liters of lehan (Premature illicit liquor) was recovered in 02 Nos. iron drum, 02 Nos. plastic drum and 06 Nos. 35 ltrs capacity plastic jerricane. All the recovered lehan and other articles were destroyed at the spot after proper photography and videography. Due to hardwork and dedication done by the police personnel of PS Humfrygunj, such huge quantity of lehan was recovered and subsequently destroyed all the illicit liquor manufacturing articles.
The whole operation was conducted under the supervision of SDPO Bambooflat Shri Saurabh Chandra, DANIPS. The General Public is requested to inform about any such activities or any other illegal activities to the Police on Phone No.100, 03192-287590, 03192-258019.
